MEXICO 2.0

Well, here I am again. I just can't stay away, Mexico! I love you too much. Your tacos are superb, your people are wonderful, and your freshly-squeezed orange juice at almost every corner truly brings joy to my day. Though I could deal without your weird toilet paper rule (put it in the garbage can or you're going to have a problem), your lack of drinking fountains, and the fact that I have to wash my underwear in the shower, I truly have enjoyed my stay here. Some things that I don't want to forget: ~Upon my arrival here, my little brother Ricky asked, "Suzy, did you bring the candy that looks like the poo poo of rabbit?"....Ummm. A little help here. Whoppers? Raisinets? ~The fact that it is totally normal for creepy men to stand in weird places. For example: Behind a crumbling wall. On a roof looking down at you. Behind a pile of dirt. ~Dogs on the roof. Why? I'm still trying to figure this one out. Why are they up there? How did they get up there? Is it something that they truly enjoy? ~The "Shirt half-up" style for men. I've seen it multiple times. It is something to behold for sure. ~The general cry of happiness when Mexico beat Japan in soccer. I was walking the dog and it scared the crap out of me. In every little shop that I passed people were crowded around a tiny TV watching the game. They love their Futbol! It's been one week since I have gotten here and I have loved every day of it! I am so excited for what the next two weeks have in store - I could do absolutely nothing and it would be fine because I just love being here with the people that I love.
